Honolulu Festival

ASOBIEXPO HAWAII 2026 will be held as a sister event to the Honolulu Festival, one of Hawaii's largest international cultural exchange events. Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026, the Honolulu Festival continues to serve as a bridge of friendship between Japan, Hawaii, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The Honolulu Festival is celebrating the theme of “Pacific Harmony, Living Together in Love and Trust.” The festival aims to promote mutual understanding among peoples and generations through cultural exchange, deepening ties between Japan, Hawaii, and the Asia-Pacific region, and contributing to global peace.

Through “Made in Japan” pop culture, the event aims to create new opportunities for international exchange, showcase the appeal of Hawaii as a destination, and connect the Honolulu Festival with the next generation of audiences.

Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN

The Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN 2026 will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, celebrating the event’s milestone 10th anniversary at Kapiolani Park, the same venue as ASOBIEXPO HAWAII.

The Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN, known as Hawaii's community sports festival, will celebrate its milestone 10th edition in 2026.

Starting from Kapiolani Park, with Diamond Head as the backdrop, the course runs along Diamond Head Road, turning around near a lookout point with sweeping ocean views. Each lap covers 5 km of breathtaking scenery, offering runners the chance to fully experience Hawaii’s natural beauty. Because all participants run the same loop, teammates and supporters can cheer each other on throughout the race, one of the event's unique highlights.

Open to runners as young as five years old, the Rainbow EKIDEN welcomes families, friends, and corporate teams alike. A special kids'race for children under 12 will also be held.

As a sister event to ASOBIEXPO HAWAII 2026, the Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN extends the shared mission of fostering cultural exchange between Japan and Hawaii through the power of sports.
